Terraces for Tourists provides a range of comfortable self-contained short-stay and holiday accommodation in Newcastle East, NSW, Australia. Our fully-furnished and equipped terrace houses and apartments with modern amenities and all linen provided are suitable for new arrivals to our city, business travellers, family reunions, holiday makers, and those renovating or moving house.
We are in the historic, heritage East End of the old city first settled in 1804. We are walking or biking distance (all on the flat) from beaches, ocean baths, Bathers Way walking and cycling track, the Honeysuckle precinct, cafes, restaurants, museums, the harbour, Nobbys Lighthouse, the headland lookouts, Fort Scratchley, Foreshore park, King Edward Park, shops and offices of the CBD.
From here, travel up the new Hunter Expressway to the vineyards for a day in Pokolbin or Broke, only 40 minutes away. Or visit Lake Macquarie and the Watagan Mountains to the south, or our huge sand dunes and Port Stephens to the north. Then come home to supplies from FoodWorks mini supermarket around the corner to cook for yourself or stroll out to our many nearby restaurants.
We hope you will spend your next holiday, family get-together, Hunter Wine Country tour, conference stay or business trip in Newcastle, at the mouth of the Hunter River, gateway to the Hunter Valley on Australia’s famous Hunter Coast.
We especially recommend cafe 23hundred nearby on Scott St for early coffee and breakfast or lunch, and the new pizzeria Napoli Centrale on King St for authentic Neapolitan pizza & ambience, babies and children very welcome at any hour.
